JO Overfield is used to feeding the community, whether it be with arts and culture (she is the director of Sundown Arts), or her famous scrumptious cafe goodies, (she used to run Elsie's Cafe in Leigh Community Centre).
Now she is back with a weekly pop-up coffee and goodie shop called Beep Beep Pop.
It is being held in The Fishermen's Chapel, New Road, Old Leigh, every Wednesday morning from 10am-12noon, or on the first Friday of every month from 2-4pm where live musical entertainment is presented by fabulous Daisy Bowlers. The boogie-woogie, swing and jazz band will present Harmonies and Heavenly Cakes in conjunction with the cafe, who will serve its locally brewed coffee, teas, homemade cakes and bites, (with many gluten free, diary free and vegan options available), to customers.
Admission is free, but donations 'in the teapot' are greatly appreciated.
Visit the thedaisybowlers.com, beepbeeppop.co.uk or fishermenschapel.org.uk for further information.
The next Harmonies and Heavenly Cakes event takes place on Friday June 3.
