Updated: 19-year-old Tilbury crash victim dies

| TRIBUTE: Floral tributes and a cross placed at the scene of the crash. |
FRIENDS have been paying tribute to a young man who died when the car he was travelling in struck a lamp post.
Kevin Hall, 19, was a passenger in the maroon Ford Orion when the collision happened in St Andrew's Road, Tilbury, at 1am on Saturday.
Mr Hall, of Cam Green, South Ockendon, suffered severe head injuries.
He was rushed to Basildon Hospital before being transferred to Queen's Hospital in Romford where he later died with his family at his bedside.
As shocked friends heard the tragic news tributes were posted on the Gazette website.
Danielle wrote: "My baby, you were my love, my life, soulmate and best friend. You will always be in my heart and memory. We laughed together, cried together and done everything together. No matter where you are or what you are doing, I'm with you."
Michael Dobson wrote: "Lank, my best mate, we had really good times. I will look after Danielle for you. I love you loads miss you like mad."
Gordon Sinclair wrote: "My thoughts are with his poor family. Give them strength to get through the immediate future and beyond."
Another friend added: "Rest in peace, Kev, you were a good friend. My greatest sympathy goes to family and friends."
The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old-woman from Tilbury, was unhurt. She was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released on police bail until Friday, May 23, while police investigate the incident.

How very sad that yet another young life has been lost on our roads. He was obviously someone that people thought alot about. I hope that these messages will bring some comfort to his family and loved ones. My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. God Bless.
