FIREFIGHTERS put out flames in a stolen car after it was abandoned on Canvey.
Thieves stole the red Nissan Sunny from a house in Roseberry Avenue in Benfleet, and drove it to the island.
They abandoned it in The Weald after setting fire to it.
Canvey fire crew were called out at 3.15am this morning (Sunday) to douse the flames.
