A LIFEBOAT crew rescued a swimmer struggling with severe cramp off Thorpe Bay.
The swimmer had set out from the beach near to The Castle pub in Thorpe Bay and was 100 metres from shore, when he got into difficulty.
His friend swam out to try and help but at 3.30pm on Saturday, the RNLI lifeboat crew was called to ferry both of them to shore.
