ANOTHER suspected stolen vehicle has been torched in the car park behind Kid's Kingdom in Eastern Avenue.

At 4.30am this morning firefighters from Southend were called to the car park behind the playground and found a Ford Fiesta on fire.

Acting lead firefighter Frankie Parkinson said: "The area is seen to be a dumping ground for vehicles, last week we had a scooter and another car a few weeks ago."

He confirmed all details of the suspicious fire had been handed over to the Police.

Well why dont the police get cctv put up there then to catch these people, or are the police to thick to think that. Yes the latter is the correct answer

Because it's not that simple in this country. Installation of CCTV usually goes through the local councils for approval.

But you would think they'd increase their patrols in that area at least.

Oh well, back to your multiple choice question Grant.

But you forgot the third option: do nothing.

Usually works a treat in this part of the world, where pyromaniacs reign supreme, the "do nothing" tactic.

When local "itinerants" set fire to my friend's fence some time ago, it wasn't investigated at all.

But then, some people are above the law because apparently their human rights count for more than solving a crime.

But I think I'm probably preaching to the converted! ;-)
