PAST members of the Boys' Brigade will recollect their memories of camp as part of special celebrations.
The Basildon and District Camping Group is marking the 25th anniversary of its first trip to Swanage, in Dorset, with a church service. About 100 past members are expected to attend.
The Basildon group has been running since the Seventies, and started going to Swanage in 1983.
The local Girls' Brigade also uses the Swanage campsite, as do other Christian youth groups.
They will join to celebrate the anniversary on Saturday, at the Belle Vue Baptist Church, in Belle Vue Avenue, Southend.
Carol Eastwick, Girls' Brigade captain at Belle Vue, is organising the event.
She said: "We will be celebrating the camping group's recollections over the 25 years we have been going there.
"It is a youth camp with various sporting activities. Everyone always has a really good time."
The celebration will be led by Pastor Jon Stannard, a one-time camper with Southend Boys' Brigade and now senior minister at Newbury Baptist Church, in Newbury, Berks.
The Boys' Brigade offers activities for members aged five to 22, with a focus on aspects of the Christian faith.
The camping celebration starts at 3pm and ties in with the national 125th anniversary of the Boys' Brigade.
