Fire crew help man who had fallen over at home in Benfleet
6:50pm Tuesday 23rd October 2012 in News By Melissa Hills
FIREFIGHTERS had to break into a house to help an elderly man who had fallen over.
The crew from Rayleigh Weir were called out just after 11am this morning to Langford Crescent in Benfleet by the man’s carer who raised the alarm.
The crew used a ladder to access a top floor window which they had to break to gain access to help the man who was suffering from a long term illness.
He was checked over at the scene but not taken to hospital

Someone get him a Careline pendant ...
I did this for the person I was carer for and it worked great, it also meant we could contact them to. Get a small ish phone and a lanyard (Breakaway ) so it can hang around their neck.
