Its always the same, never a man around at the time to help her. What a vile disgusting robber. Hope she is OK, but she will have to live with this ordeal and that will be hard.

Did she have her mobile in her hand as so many people do these days?

Are you suggesting she should have it cellotaped to her ear?

No, i'm not suggesting she sellotape it to her ear. Southend East is notorious for muggings, pays to be a little more diligent there. If her mobile was in her bag rather than her hand it would have been a bit more difficult to steal it from her.

So what about her glasses? were they on her nose at the time, should they have been in her bag as well?

Yes let's us all hide everything all of the time - a real "you win" to the robbers.

While we're at it, lets announce that we're scared to go on the Tube, in a Plane and anywhere near large important buildings through fear or terrorism.

Seriously, just get on with your life. This stuff happens, always has, always will. Be precautious but don't hide away for the rest of your life.

The point is we shouldn't HAVE to hide our possessions. Regardless of whether they are hidden or not does not give lowlife scumbags the right to take them! What the frak did they want with her glasses?!
