A ROSSENDALE football club is searching for memorabilia as it edges towards the 125th anniversary of the first game at its home stadium.
Bacup Borough’s club historian, Roger Hindle, is appealing for programmes, press cuttings, and photographs collected by supporters.
He hopes to use the items, alongside a significant body of documents he has already collected, to publish a book in 2014.
Although the club was formed in 1875, it didn’t play at its West View Stadium, currently sponsored by Brian Boys, until a game against Accrington Stanley in 1889. Donated items will be looked after, and returned after use.
