Homeless man attack in street

A HOMELESS man was attacked in the street with a glass bottle.
The victim, who is in his 50s, was in the loading bay underneath Victoria Plaza when he was approached by three men.
He needed hospital treatment for injuries caused by the bottle.
It happened at about 2.30pm on January 7.
The first suspect is black, aged in his early 20s, around 5ft 9ins tall, slim, and was wearing a dark shirt and jacket.
The second was white, also aged in his early 20s, 5ft 9ins tall and also wore a shirt and trousers.
The third was white, aged in his early 20s, slightly taller at 5ft 10ins tall, with short dark hair and again wore a shirt and trousers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Southend on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
