Police and crime commissioner to meet with South Essex public

THE newly elected police and crime commissioner will be hosting his first meetings with the public in South Essex.
 

Nick Alston will be holding the meetings in Southend and Basildon where he aims to talk to residents about how their community is policed and what crimes affect their quality of life.
 

The meetings will see Mr Alston joined by local officers and members of the community safety partnership.
 

The first meetings will take place in the council chamber at the Civic Centre on Victoria Avenue, Southend between 4pm and 6pm on Wednesday January 30.
 

The next will take place on Friday February 8 at the St Georges Suite in the Basildon Centre in St Martin’s Square, Basildon from 12pm to 2pm.
