Flats flooded as water tank overflows

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a block of flats in Leigh after a water tank in the attic flooded.

Water poured through the ceilings into the homes below affecting almost all of the six floors of Grand Court West, in Grand Drive.

Crews from Leigh fire station were alerted at 11.30pm on Monday and isolated the water supply and spent time helping residents mop up.
