A NIGHTMARE neighbour has been jailed after she was caught with a meat cleaver in a Westcliff street.

Leanne Zajac, 26, was spotted with the weapon within hours of leaving Southend Magistrates’ Court on an assault charge.

The Echo had reported how belligerent Zajac had frequently confronted other residents in Priory Court, Southend, where she lived.

The court heard she had been given an eviction notice - leaving neighbours hoping they would finally get some peace.

But hours later she was found drunk in North Street, Westcliff, with a meat cleaver.

The mum-of-three was put back in the dock at Southend Magistrates’ Court where she pleaded guilty to being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, being drunk and disorderly and committing an offence while subject to a suspended sentence.

She was jailed for 24 weeks.

surely they do not just arrive here and get the criminal record afterwards, are we allowing foreigners with criminal records in to the country,what sort of checks are made

The last name seems to be Polish (actually any Eastern European), but if you look her up on Facebook she doesn't seem to have any Polish relations - seems a fully British chav.

So she was evicted from a council property in Peterboro, and headed to Southend where she got another taxpayer funded home.
I wonder which lucky council will get her next.

I understand that some countries may be encouraging their habitual criminals to come to the UK on release. Strangely emough, France & italy, as well as other countries, are able to deport them & deny them the right to return, but we are told we cannot do this due to EU legislation.
There are already a large number of Romanians here, many of them becoming Big Issue sellers in order to register as self-employed & receive tax credits, housing benefit etc as a result.
I take it that Ms Zajac will be moving further south, maybe Kent or Sussex on her release....

Yes she is polish and an absolute nightmare. Not her first conviction either. She is a drunk. I know someone who has dealings with her and she is an absolute violent person. Will get much worse with the Bulgarians as you aint seen nothing yet. They are top of the scum list for violence drugs and organised crime. Hope they house them in Southend and raise the purple flag even higher.
