Glamour model still looking for love after reality show date failed

YOU wouldn’t have thought a glamour model, dancer, barmaid and cage fight ring girl would have trouble finding a boyfriend.

But after a string of failed romances Abbie Goodwin, 21, decided to ask a reality show to help her find her perfect match.

After an hour-long compatibility test, The Year of Making Love matched Abbie from Shoebury, with London fireman Chris Flynn and filmed their romance for several months for the next episode of the BBC 3 show, to be screened on Monday.

Abbie said: “I thought I’d give it a go because relationships hadn’t worked out for me in the past. I always go for bad boys and then it ends badly.

“My ideal match was totally different to how I thought it would be.”

After spotting a web advert for the show, Abbie filled in a detailed questionnaire, which asked about her family, life and relationships so far, personality, tastes and her ideal man.

Out of 500 men selected for the show, the producers singled out Chris, who ticked all the right boxes as he was tall, dark, strong, down to earth and sociable.

Abbie, a street dancer for Kayzar in Basildon, said: “He was matched quite well to what I put on the compatibility test. Looks-wise he was very similar.”

The pair were then filmed as they got to know each other on a number of dates.

Despite their efforts to make it work, their romance failed to blossom, partly because it was revealed Chris was several years older, but the pair have since remained friends.

Abbie, who featured in BBC 3 make-under show Snog Marry Avoid? a couple of years ago, said: “We got on really, really well.

“There were many laughs and many ups and downs. We are still friends now. We still talk on a regular basis.”

The Year of Making Love is on at 9pm on BBC 3.

Seems like the younger generation are now totally incapable of thinking/doing for themselves and have to rely on trashy 'reality' shows for even dating!..or is this her 5 minutes of fame?

She's average anyway no offence but there are far prettier girls out there and as she stated she went for "bad boys" she's just not very mature, probably still wanting to lounge around on the strip in Magaluf or Kavos.

maybe this poster is visually impaired and relies on software to read by the look of
my sight read echo special
and also on different software to dictate a reply and the voice recognition software isn't perfectly in tune with the Echo's platform.

I'd give them the benefit of the doubt myself and let it slide with a shrug of the shoulders in case.

What about a nice intelligent girl that may not be pretty but has brains?

Put this young lady in any high street and I don't think she would stand out in a crowd!

Sigh you are clearly very deluded if you consider her a hard working girl, I know exactly who she is she isn't hard working, she has been around the block - old news, no-one cares about her failed love life.

Not too late to consider ordination. There are an increasing number of vacancies in the RC church and your friend's son sounds like an ideal candidate.
