I AM writing to ask your readers to make a real difference this year by volunteering in the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Altrincham shop.
Volunteers are absolutely essential to the success of the Altrincham shop and play a vital part in fighting against heart disease, the nation’s biggest killer.
Most people know someone affected by heart disease and any time your readers can spare – from a few hours a week to a few days a week – will make a real difference to heart patients in the Altrincham area.
Volunteering at the BHF is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, or simply give something back to your community.
We have opportunities for volunteers to sort stock, window dress and to specialise in our books and music section and assist customers on the shop floor.
These are just a few of the roles available– there’s bound to be a something to suit everyone.
I would like to urge your readers to pop into the shop at 122 George Street, Altrincham or call 0161 929 5734.
Debbie (BHF Altrincham shop shop manager)
