VOLUNTARY and community groups are invited to find out more about the cash available to them at a funding fair.
Groups can get advice on how to access funding at the event on Friday, July 5 in the St George’s Suite of the Basildon Centre, in St Martin’s Square.
It will run from 9.30am to 1pm and has been organised by Basildon Council, in partnership with Basildon, Billericay and Wickford Council for Voluntary Service (BBWCVS).
It will include four workshops on: - The Big Lottery Awards for All funding process.
- Funding streams from the Essex Community Foundation.
- Completing good applications and what funds are available from Lloyds TSB.
- Advice from Local Giving on the technology available to support groups to raise funds, awareness and support on-line.
The Office of Civil Society will be on hand with government funding information and Voluntary Sector Training will also discuss employment and training opportunities.
Legal advice will be available and other funders, including Basildon Council, Big Lottery, Heritage Lottery Fund, Veolia will also be on hand to answer questions about their funds and the application process.
