A MAN accused of a fatal stabbing was involved in a knifing incident months earlier, a court has heard.
Jack Hummerstone is one of two men accused of killing aspiring rapper Thomas Brittain, 26, at a flat in Parkside Quarter, Colchester on March 9 this year.
A jury heard Hummerstone stabbed another man in Colchester in January this year after a row in a High Street shop.
Hummerstone and Andre Vella are blaming each other for killing Mr Brittain. Vella, 19, formerly of Village Close, Kirby Cross but now of no fixed addess, and Hummerstone, 18, from Clerkenwell, London, deny murder and causing another man grievous bodily harm with intent.
They have admitted possession of an imitation gun.
