Online safety campaign launched for youngsters
A CAMPAIGN launched at Colchester United’s ground urges youngsters to stay safe while online.
Hidden Lives, run by the Essex Safeguarding Children Board (ESCB), aims to educate both children and adults of the dangers of contacting strangers on the internet.
The campaign, which launched at the Weston Homes Community Stadium today, has also been backed by the Essex Football Association and the U’s.
Each of the Essex FA’s 30,000 young members will be given a football-themed red or yellow Think You Know card with advice on how to stay safe on one side and three questions to make them think on the other.
Parents and carers will also be given a Do you know? card with advice and guidance.
