Fancy trekking the Sahara for hospices?
6:20am Tuesday 15th October 2013 in News
HAVENS Hospices and St Luke’s Hospice have joined forces with ten other charities to offer fundraisers the opportunity of a lifetime.
The Inter-Hospice Sahara Trek will take participants through the African desert and help a community care project in Marrakech at the end.
Supporters from hospices across the east of England are invited to take part in the challenge in March next year.
Events fundraiser at Havens, Jane Hopkins, said: “This trek is a real challenge for those wanting to take part.
“We will be walking for between six and eight hours a day and temperatures can reach freezing at night time.”
It costs £320 to register and the minimum sponsorship is £1,800.
There are 18 Team Havens places available on a first come basis.
