SOMETHING fishy led police to uncover a massive stash of drugs in Laindon.
Officers were called to Hornsby Square, at the Southfields Business Park, after traders reported “a fishy smell” coming from a unit.
When they gained entry to the lock-up they discovered 3,000 playing- card shaped packets of cannabis resin.
Essex Police have launched an investigation to track down the drug dealers who stashed the hoard.
A business owner close to the site, said he was shocked at the find.
He said: “We saw police at the unit last week.
“They were there most of the day, unloading something.
“We certainly don’t want anything like that going on around here.”
