COASTGUARDS, police and a lifeboat were scrambled after a vulnerable teenager went missing in Southend.
A search was launched after reports that a 16-year-old girl was missing on the seafront at about 12.40am yesterday.
The coastguard and the RNLI hovercraft scoured the area around Sealife Adventure, in Eastern Esplanade.
Police later found the girl safe and well.
