A HOUSESITTER who stole from his newlywed friends and sold their belongings while they were on holiday, has appeared in court.
Samuel Hawker, 23, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a games console, games, two cameras and gold jewellery worth £150 from his friends when he appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court last month.
He was back in court for sentencing, but judges adjourned the hearing so he could seek legal advice.
He was released on unconditional bail until his next appearance on December 24
