POLICE are hunting this man, who tried to rob a young woman on Christmas eve.

The 23-year-old victim was walking in Eastwood Boulevard in Westcliff, at around 3.40pm when she was approached by a man.

He threatened her and demanded money but ran off empty handed after another member of the public approached the woman.

The victim, who lives locally, has worked with officers to produce this E Fit.

The suspect is white, around 5ft 6inches to 5ft 7inches tall, average build, and aged in his mid 20s.

He was wearing an anorak style jacket and had distinctive pale blue/grey eyes.

Essex Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Pc Christian Forbes at Southend Police station on 101 ext 470361.
