A PENSIONER continues to be in a serious condition in hospital following a crash in Billericay.
Police were called to Radford Way near to the BP Petrol Station at about 5.20pm yesterday following reports of a crash.
A pedestrian, aged, 68, and from Billericay, received a serious head injury and was taken to Basildon Hospital before being transferred to the Royal London Hospital.
Her condition this morning was said to be serious but stable.
A 19-year-old car driver from Billericay who was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a collision, was bailed until March 9 pending further enquiries.
