POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman received head injuries in a car crash.
The collision happened in Southend Road at about 6am and involved a light-coloured Ford Focus hatchback, a dark-coloured Ford Focus Estate, and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 42-year-old woman from Southend, was taken to Southend Hospital with a head injury and was kept in for observations. The car drivers were uninjured.
The road was closed for about four hours to allow for the police investigation and recovery of cars.
Any witnesses who saw pedestrian walking prior to the collision, or who saw collision, are urged to contact Pc Steve Catton at Southend on 101.
