POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary in which the victim's car was stolen while they slept.

The front door of a house in The Paddocks, Rayleigh, was jemmied open between 12.30am and 11.30am yesterday.

The items stolen from the house included the keys to a silver Hyundai Santa Fe which was parked on the driveway. The car was then stolen.

Officers are advising people to be vigilant and to ensure they double-lock their front doors when they go to bed.
