POLICE want to speak to this man who was reported acting suspiciously at the scene of a burglary.

The man is wanted for questioning following a break-in on Bournemouth Park Road, Southend, after residents reported he was seen acting suspiciously in the street on Friday. An e-fit of the man’s face was then produced.

Thieves forced entry to the property sometime between 10am on Friday and 6.40pm on Saturday by smashing glass in the rear back door to get in.

Once inside, a search of the property was made and jewellery including necklaces, brooches, bangles, earrings and a lady’s silver Gucci watch with a navy square face have been stolen.

The man is described as white, aged 30 to 40, of slim build, and around 5ft 10in tall. He had short hair and was wearing a high visibility jacket. He may also have been in the company of another man and woman.

Anyone who believes they recognise the man in the e-fit is asked to call DC Kerry Auger at Southend CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

If the Police had more men on the ground then the man reported as acting suspiciously might have been stopped but now some poor person has all the heart ache of being burgled. The law has let us down yet again

I did see some 'plastic pigs' early on. Aka PCSO. There about as pointless as a mcflurry lid you get at McDonalds though.
