A CAR was stolen off a driveway in Benfleet after burglars broke into a house and stole the keys.

The blue Ford ST220 Mondeo, with the registration EX03 GZP, was stoeln from a home in Southwold Crescent between 12.20am and 9.30am on Sunday, January 19.

The conservatory door was jemmied open and keys to the car were taken along with jewellery.

Officers want to speak to anyone who may have seen the car, which has distinctive cream-coloured leather seats.

Anyone with information should contact Dc Andy Copley, or his colleagues at Southend CID, on 101.

Alternatively, call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I wish you were right but unfortunately the same thing happened 3 streets away with 2 cars stolen in 1 night in December....BEFORE the lights were turned off at night

Now that GPS is very good its time trackers were made cheaper. Have tackers fitted to all cars and make a charge when or if the car is stolen. Also the tracker could be used by the Police to make sure the registration plate matches the car.
