A TUMBLE dryer caught fire in a conservatory.

Fire fighters were called to a house in Weel Road, Canvey just after 4.15pm this afternoon.

Two Canvey crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reels to extinguish the blaze 45 minutes later.

A high pressured fan was used to clear the conservatory free of smoke.

Takes a while to get all the proper gear on...then a risk assessment..then the green light is given....45 minutes later.
