Coastguard called to washed up fuel tank

SOUTHEND Coastguard was called to Westcliff beach yesterday after a petrol fuel tank was found there.

The Coastguard received the call at 11.05am and notified Southend Environmental Service who quickly removed the tank from the beach.

Other items and debris, which came from a motor boat which had sunk on its mooring during adverse weather conditions, were found on the beach by the Coastguard.

There was no reported pollution due to the incident.

Where in the report does it say jerry can?

The person who spotted it done the right thing by calling the coastguard as you shoukd do when spotting duch things wadhed up, the report states fuel tank which is much larger than a jerry can, as there could have been environmental problems the council had to deal with it.

Why is he an idiot..? he is not responsible for the extreme weather that sunk his boat which caused his fuel tank to get washed ashore.
