A man has been charged with murder following the death of a teenage boy in Grays.
Lewis Daynes, 18, a computer engineer of Roseberry Road, Grays, will appear before Basildon Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The victim has not been formally identified but is believed to be 14-year-old Breck Bednar from Caterham in Surrey.
The preliminary results from the post mortem examination indicate that he died as a result of a wound to the neck.
His family is being supported by police family liaison officers.
