A TEAM of cyclists from a Rochford-based computing company are in the middle of a tough training schedule to get ready for a charity bike ride to Paris.

Jason Smith and the team from Argon Computing will be riding from Rochford to the French capital in May to raise money for the Marfan Trust.

Jason, who has owned the computer repair shop for 11 years, first heard about Marfan syndrome when Skye, his best friend Steve O’Leary’s nine-yearold daughter, was diagnosed a year ago.

Marfan syndrome restricts joint movement and leaves sufferers with poor eyesight and painful joints.

Jason said: “We are all keen cyclists, so these challenges for us are a fun way of keeping fit and fundraising for such a good cause.

“The outlook for suffers of Marfan syndrome isn’t great at this point in time and Skye is such a brave, happy, bubbly little girl.”
