THESE fire-damaged pieces of jewellery were found off Flemings Farm Road in Leigh on Wednesday.

They were handed over to police who are appealing for their owners to come forward.

Echo:

Pc Ben Broderick, who is investigating said: "The jewellery was inside a bag and metal container which had been set alight and unfortunately was badly fire damaged.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may be able to identify the property or provide any information as to the rightful owners."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc Broderick at Southend Police Station CID on 101.
