FIREFIGHTERS freed a boy whose head was trapped in railings.
Two firefighters from Southend pulled apart the bars at the Jones Memorial Recreation Ground in Eastern Avenue so the boy could free his head at about 1.50pm today.
The boy, who was about 11, said he had jumped of a swing and the momentum had carried him through the railings.
