POLICE want to speak to this man over the theft of a bicycle from the Royals Shopping Centre in Southend.

The mountain bike, which is white with ‘Specialised’ written in large red letters on the frame, was chained to a bike rack on the Heygate Avenue side of the shopping centre on Saturday, March 15.

It was taken sometime between 3.30pm and 4.10pm.

Two panniers, black and silver, were on the cycle as well as a bottle rack. It also had a Cycles UK sticker on the frame.

If you know the man or have any information call Pc Amber Sawyer at Southend Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

if i left a specialized chained to railings anywhere in southend, i would be only marginally more confident that it would still be there, than if left unsecured.... basically, the days of leaving a push bike anywhere, worth more than thruppence are long gone, like the bike...........
