THREE charities will benefit from an Armed Forces event just outside Billericay.
Essex Military Support Association is holding a two-day Armed Forces Day event in June in aid of Scotty’s Little Soldiers, Help for Heroes and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
Association chairman Dan Rodgers said: “The success of our 2013 event, in featuring three charities, highlighted the great work these charities do and offer the public a chance to find out what happens with their money while also raising awareness.
“Again, we have chosen three fantastic charities and we’re very much looking forward to working closely with them in 2014.”
The event, at Barleylands Farm, Billiercay, on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 will feature a flypast by the RAF’s Battle of Britian Memorial Flight, plus a display by replica First WorldWar aircraft, based at Stow Maries Aerodrome, near Maldon.
Tickets are £10 per adult, £3.50 for under 16s (under 5s, free) and available now from essexmilitarysupport.
