A MAN was taken to hospital after a crash in Leigh this afternoon.
His convertible hit a stationary van which went into a lamppost in Highland Boulevard, just after 3pm.
Firefighters from Leigh and Rayleigh Weir were called to the scene and had to free him from the vehicle.
Leigh watch manager Dean Riley said: βHe may have dislocated his shoulder and he had neck and back pain so he was taken off to hospital in an ambulance.β
