A STRUGGLING drama group for disabled people has made a desperate appeal for help to keep going.
Emma Westell runs a drama group at Carers Choices, in Kiln Road, Thundersley, every Thursday.
But the group, which helps adults with disabilities ranging from autism to cerebral palsy, has run into trouble.
Ms Westell said: “We need funding, but we also need more people to come and make use of Carers Choices to make the centre more viable.”
The club was in danger of closing earlier this year, but was saved after a last-minute sponsor helped. But more help is needed to ensure its future.
Ms Westell said: “I started teaching drama here four years ago and in that time the students have just gone from strength to strength.”
The group will be performing Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream on Thursday, June 19, at the centre.
