FOOTBALL chief David Dein popped into a Rochford school to talk to pupils.

Mr Dein, the former vicechairman of Arsenal and the Football Association, visited the King Edmund School to talk about his career and how he feels technology could be used in football today.

He also talked about motivation, including how to motivate a millionaire, and the skills and attributes a football scout would look for and how they are relevant to any career.

Pupils questioned Mr Dein at the end of his talk, with some also winning prizes for answering his questions correctly.

Headteacher Jonathan Osborn said: “He is an exceptionally nice man and we really appreciated him taking time out of his schedule to visit us, especially as he is busy preparing for his trip to Brazil for the World Cup.

“We will hopefully keep in touch with David and would love to welcome him back to the school.”
