A MAN has been released without charge over the theft of £35,000 of rare beers from a brewery.

Essex Police will take no further action against a man, 22, they questioned after about 16,000 bottles of Brew Dog beer were taken from the Ales By Mail warehouse in Radford Way, Billericay.

A gang of between 15 and 20 people broke into the warehouse at about midnight on December 30 and spent two hours loading bottles on a lorry.

The brands of Brew Dog beers stolen included 4,500 bottles of Interstellar, 1,700 of Moshi Moshi, 4,500 of Hobo Pop and 5,300 bottles of Brixton Porter.
