A MAN was pulled into a garden by a group of yobs who beat him up and robbed him.

The 22-year-old victim was left unconscious after three men attacked him on East Street, Southend at about 5.20am yesterday near Tanners Funeral Directors.

The gang grabbed his bag and pulled him into a garden and repeatedly punched and kicked him, even after they had stolen from him.

They robbed him off his wallet, cash, iPhone 5, credit cards and personal documents.

Investigating officer PC Samantha Winter said: "The men continued to assault the victim after they had stolen from him, so the victim sustained quite a long assault and was left with bruising and grazing and blacked out during the incident."

Police are appealing for information on the suspects.

Two of the suspects are black aged in their mid 20s. One was noticeably slimmer than the other. The other man was white, of stocky build, 5ft 2ins to 5ft 5ins tall, in his mid to late 20s, with ginger or strawberry blond short hair. He had stubble around his face and a freckly face.

All three suspects were wearing grey hoodies.

Anyone with information about this incident or who is responsible is urged to contact Pc Winter at Southend CID on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
