SEVENTIES and Eighties music fans can boogie in a barn to help a hospital fight cancer.
Southend Hospital is holding a retro dance party at Tabor Farm Barn, Shopland Road, Rochford, on Friday, July 18, to raise money for its Keyhole Cancer Appeal.
A spokeswoman said: “Boogie in the Barn promises to be the ultimate outdoor retro party, all in aid of Southend University Hospital’s Keyhole Cancer Appeal.
“Tropicana Nights are pleased to host this nostalgic night including tunes from DJ Mike Porter, a hot food court and a Kontiki cocktail bar.
“Flares or shoulder pads are essential – and that’s just the men!”
Tickets to the event, which is for over-18s only, cost £11.20, including booking fee.
The Keyhole Cancer Appeal aims to raise £600,000 to help fund a new state-of-the-art laparoscopic theatre suite, which will increase the quality and quantity of a wide variety of surgery at the hospital.
