A MAN has been jailed for two and a half years for possessing thousands of pounds worth of drugs with intent to supply them.

Adam Hyman, from Middle Mead, Rochford, was sentenced to two and half years for possessing cannabis and cocaine.

Police found the stash of 657grams of cannabis and 23 grams of cocaine when officers raided a house on London Road, Westcliff, on February 15 last year.

They also found scales and drugs paraphernalia.

The drugs were sent to a forensic laboratory to be tested which confirmed Hyman was in possession class B drug cannabis with a value of between £3,600 to £6,500 and class A drug with a value between £920 and £2,300.

Hyman was sentenced on Monday, June 23, at Basildon Crown Court for possession with intent to supply.

Two others were acquitted.

Dc Andy Copley from Southend CID said: "I am pleased with the outcome of this lengthy investigation. Hyman will now have time whilst he is in prison to think about the lives he has affected by dealing drugs to vulnerable people.”
