TRAINS have been cancelled between Southend and London.

Greater Anglia cancelled the 8.32am train from London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria and the 9.50am train between Southend Victoria and London Liverpool Street.

The train operator reported the cancellations were due to an “operating incident”.

The 8.03am train between Southend Victoria and London Liverpool Street was delayed for six minutes at Ilford due to a safety inspection on the train.

Rumoured to have overrun a red signal at Stratford, brakes came on, stopped halfway along the platform.

Train was then moved so that passengers could get off - no announcements of any kind then as a branch line service came in it was announced that there had been an operation issue and to leave the train. Same announcement 10 minutes earlier would have been handy...
