PARENTS and toddlers took part in sponsored walks to raise money for a cancer charity.
About 90 children from the Rochford Day Nursery took part in toddle waddles for Families Against Neuroblastoma.
The nursery, which recently received an outstanding rating from Ofsted, has taken it on as its charity of the year, as two-year-old nursery-goer Lily Ambrose continues to battle aggressive neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer.
So far the nursery has raised about £900 for the charity, with other events including a Christmas disco, pyjama day, cake sales and students wearing red for Lily on Valentine’s Day.
Tatia Singleton, co-manager at the nursery, said: “Our parents and families have been so generous and supportive. We had parent volunteers with us and we appreciate their support and help so much.”
Fellow co-manager Christina Murphy and deputy manager Stuart Cloke have helped Tatia organise the events.
