POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash which left a teenager with life-changing injuries.

A white Honda motorbike was in collision with a blue VW Golf at the junction of Bournemouth Park Road and Eastern Avenue, Southend.

The 19 year old male rider of the motorbike, from Westcliff, was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital. He is currently stable and being treated for serious pelvic injuries.

The car driver, a local man, aged 80, was uninjured.

Police will be speaking to both involved but want to hear from anyone who witnessed the actual collision, who has not already contacted them.
