A second car was taken the same night after a raid on a a house in Pound Lane, Bowers Gifford. Thieves broke in between 11.10pm and 7.30am the next day, took the keys and drove off in a black 2007 Ford Fiesta, worth £4,000.

No point asking any witnesses for a description these days. One silhouette looks just the same as any other.

Sympathies to the owners but when will people ever learn not to have your car keys on view, especially through the letterbox.

FYI everyone, alarm systems nowadays can be part-armed at night. So that if for example someone breaks in downstairs the alarm will warn you / go off in a manner of your choosing. If everyone got cctv and an alarm crime like this would be practically irradicated overnight!

Neither car stolen is a high value car but would be to the owners.
What are you suppose to do lock your front door yes don't leave car keys on view yes but then the front door gets broken in and then the thieves look around and find your car keys. So what advise can be given to protect your property that is legal
