DRIVERS faced delays in Billericay this morning after its main road was closed in both directions.
Billericay High Street was closed in both directions from 6.30am this morning at the the junction with Western Road and Norsey Road after heavy rain and damage to the road surface.
The road has now reopened.
It is understood there may be a hole in the road as well as flooding due to the torrential downpours in the early hours of this morning.
Rail users are also being advised to check before they travel and expect delays. More information on rail disruption can be found here.
