A CAMPAIGN to keep the streets of Rochford district tidy was taken to Ashingdon Fun Day.
Officers from the district authority attended the fun day to promote their campaign, part of the Love Essex initiative.
The team set up an information stall at the event, providing advice and information on issues ranging from dog fouling to flytipping.
The Love Essex campaign was a collaboration between local authorities across the county, the county council, and fast food outlets McDonald’s, KFC and Dominos Pizza.
Ian Ward, Rochford District councillor responsible for the environment, said: “This is the latest example of Rochford District Council’s Recycling Team going out into the community to help people learn the importance of keeping our streets tidy.
“It is part of a county-wide project, where councils and businesses have pulled together to ‘Love Essex’, by keeping it clean and litter free.
“Rochford District Council is proud to be part of this campaign, which will help to ensure the district remains a clean and pleasant place.”
