RUNNERS are being urged to dig out their trainers for a hospice fun run.
St Luke’s Hospice’s annual 5k fun run takes place at Lake Meadows, Billericay, on Saturday, August 17 .
Sponsored by solicitors Birkett Long, the hospice is urging people to sign up.
All runners will be provided with a time by the end of the day and a medal for completing the run. There are trophies for first, second and third men, women, boys and girls.
Mini massages, a warm up pool, and acccess to the pool and sauna will be provided by LA Fitness, in Radford Way, on race day to the runners.
Organisier Kerry Chambers said: “The summer 5k is one of my favourite events as it sees such a variety of people attend. We have families doing it together running and walking, many doing it in memory of a loved one as well as runners there to do their Sunday run, but support a charity at the same time.”
